Matt.3.15But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented.

Matt.15.26And he answered, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
Matt.15.28Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly.
Matt.16.2He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’
Matt.16.17And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
Matt.17.11He answered, “Elijah does come, and he will restore all things.
Matt.17.17And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.”
Matt.19.4He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,
Matt.20.22Jesus answered, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am to drink?” They said to him, “We are able.”
Matt.21.21And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
Matt.21.24Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Matt.21.27So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And he said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Matt.21.29And he answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went.
Matt.21.30And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but did not go.
Matt.22.29But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
Matt.22.46And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more questions.
Matt.24.2But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

Matt.25.37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
Matt.25.40And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Matt.25.44Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’
Matt.25.45Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’
Matt.26.23He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me.
Matt.26.25Judas, who would betray him, answered, “Is it I, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You have said so.”
Matt.26.33Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.”
Matt.26.62And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?”
Matt.26.66What is your judgment?” They answered, “He deserves death.”
Matt.27.12But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer.
Matt.27.14But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
Matt.27.25And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!”
Mark.3.33And he answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
Mark.6.37But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”

Mark.9.17And someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit that makes him mute.
Mark.9.19And he answered them, “O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.”
Mark.10.3He answered them, “What did Moses command you?”
Mark.11.22And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
Mark.11.29Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Mark.11.30Was the baptism of John from heaven or from man? Answer me.”
Mark.11.33So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
Mark.12.28And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
Mark.12.29Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Mark.12.34And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And after that no one dared to ask him any more questions.
Mark.14.40And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.
Mark.14.60And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?”
Mark.14.61But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
Mark.15.2And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, “You have said so.”
Mark.15.4And Pilate again asked him, “Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.”
Mark.15.5But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.
Mark.15.9And he answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?”

John.18.35Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done?”
John.18.36Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
John.18.37Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
John.19.7The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God.”
John.19.9He entered his headquarters again and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.
John.19.11Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”
