John.9.5As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

John.12.19So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.”
John.12.25Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
John.12.31Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.
John.12.46I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.
John.12.47If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
John.13.1Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
John.14.17even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

John.15.18“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.

John.16.11concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
John.16.20Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.

John.16.28I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

John.17.5And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
John.17.6“I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
John.17.9I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.
John.17.11And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.
John.17.13But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
John.17.14I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
John.17.15I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
John.17.16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
John.17.18As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
John.17.21that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
John.17.23I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.
John.17.24Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
John.17.25O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me.
John.18.20Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.
John.18.36Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
John.18.37Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
John.21.25Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
Acts.11.28And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius).
Acts.17.6And when they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also,
Acts.17.24The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,
Acts.17.31because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”
Acts.19.27And there is danger not only that this trade of ours may come into disrepute but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis may be counted as nothing, and that she may even be deposed from her magnificence, she whom all Asia and the world worship.”
Acts.24.5For we have found this man a plague, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.
Rom.1.8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.
Rom.1.20For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Rom.3.6By no means! For then how could God judge the world?
Rom.3.19Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
Rom.4.13For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.
Rom.5.12Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned
Rom.5.13for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.
Rom.10.18But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “ Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
Rom.11.12Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!
Rom.11.15For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
Rom.12.2Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
1Cor.1.20Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
1Cor.1.21For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
1Cor.1.27But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
1Cor.1.28God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,
1Cor.2.12Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.
1Cor.3.19For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”
1Cor.3.22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the futureall are yours,
1Cor.4.9For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, men sentenced to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.
1Cor.4.13when slandered, we entreat. We have become, and are still, the scum of the world, the refuse of all things.
1Cor.5.10not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
1Cor.6.2Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?
1Cor.7.31and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the present form of this world is passing away.
1Cor.11.32But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.
1Cor.14.10There are doubtless many different languages in the world, and none is without meaning,
2Cor.1.12For our boast is this: the testimony of our conscience that we behaved in the world with simplicityand godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.
2Cor.4.4In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2Cor.5.19that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Gal.4.3In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world.
Gal.4.9But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?
Gal.6.14But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Eph.1.4even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love

Eph.2.12remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
Phil.2.15that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Col.1.6which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,
Col.2.8See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
Col.2.20If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations
1Tim.1.15The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.
1Tim.3.16Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
1Tim.6.7for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.
2Tim.4.10For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

1John.2.16For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.
1John.2.17And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
1John.3.1See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

1John.4.14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

1John.5.5Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1John.5.19We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
2John.1.7For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Rev.3.10Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
